On September 1, 2026, at 14:00 UTC, we plan to launch mocha-5. Mocha-5 will be a hardspoon based on an announced mocha-4 block height.

• Mocha-5 will start at height 1.

• Account balances at the selected mocha-4 height will carry over. Activity after that height will not be reflected on mocha-5.

• Existing delegations, unbonding delegations, and pending staking rewards will be redeemed as liquid TIA.

• Account sequences will reset to 0.

• The existing validator set will not carry over.

• Existing validators do not need to take action before the launch. Once mocha-5 is running, validators can join by submitting a MsgCreateValidator.

• Governance proposals, IBC channels, Hyperlane state, and other chain state will not carry over.

A small genesis validator set will launch mocha-5 to ensure initial network liveness.

Mocha-4 will continue running for several days after mocha-5 launches. Validators should continue operating their mocha-4 validators until they have moved to mocha-5. We will announce the final mocha-4 shutdown timing separately.
