Mocha v10 activation and Fibre server setup
Dear partners and node operators,
after v10 activates later today, please start setting up your Fibre servers.
Fibre prerequisites:
- A CPU that passes these tests along with 32GB RAM.
- You can check your disk and bandwidth requirements here.
- Running Fibre on the same server as your validator is recommended for now.
- Same specs are ok for both celestia-app and fibre on the same server.
- Note that celestia-app and fibre connection does not support TLS at the moment, but if you still use separate servers, it has to have the same specs as above.
- Separate disks for Fibre data and celestia-app data are recommended.
- You need a bonded validator node. Fibre derives its storage budget from your stake.
- The node’s application gRPC endpoint is enabled (default 127.0.0.1:9090).
- The validator node’s privval gRPC endpoint is enabled.
- The fibre listen port (default 7980) is reachable.
